
Sweetpotato Ketchup
Sweetpotato Ketchup is a flavorful twist on a classic condiment, blending smooth sweetpotato puree with warm spices and a hint of heat. Lightly sweet and balanced, this homemade ketchup is great for dipping fries, on burgers, or adding a unique touch to your favorite snacks.

Ingredients
- 1¼ Cup sweetpotato puree (cooked and mashed)
- ¾ Cup water
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp Cayenne pepper
- 3 tbsp sugar
- ½ tsp gelatin (*agar may be used as a vegan option)
Instructions
- Mix the sugar and gelatin in a bowl and add all remaining ingredients to a saucepan.
- Boil the mixture on a medium heat and keep stirring until it’s boiling. Once it’s reached boiling point, add the gelatin and sugar.
- Boil for a further minute then pour the ketchup mix into a bowl and cover it with plastic wrap.
- Keep in the fridge until set and then blend at high speed until the mixture is smooth.
- Once blended, it is ready to serve.
