Ingredients:

  • 1  cup  1% milk  or soy milk
  • ½  cup  strong cold brew coffee  or 2 shots espresso
  • ½  scoop vanilla whey protein powder  or plant-based protein powder
  • ¼ cup sweetpotato puree or the flesh of a baked/microwaved sweetpotato
  • ½  tbsp  pure maple syrup optional; enhances flavor
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1  tsp  ground cinnamon

  • Add all of the ingredients to a blender or blender cup. Blend until well combined.
  • Pour over a glass of ice and enjoy! Feel free to garnish with a sprinkle of extra cinnamon on top.

Notes

The form of sweetpotato you use here is flexible. You can use mashed boiled sweetpotatoes, the flesh of a baked sweetpotato, or the flesh of a microwaved sweetpotato. Because this recipe is blended, it doesn’t have to be a perfectly smooth puree going in as it’ll get evenly distributed in the blender. The only thing to make sure is that you’re not including the skin (it doesn’t break down as well in the drink).
