The Academy of Nutrition Dietetics: Sweetpotato Recipe Contest
In collaboration with Food and Culinary Professionals, a dietetic practice group of The Academy of Nutrition Dietetics, the NC SweetPotato Commission launched a Sweetpotato Recipe Contest to encourage food and culinary professionals to think outside the box when it came to sweetpotato recipes, demonstrating the versatility and flexibility of using sweetpotatoes in both sweet and savory dishes, with a relatively healthy twist.
Once the contest concluded on May 22nd, we were blown away by all the delicious entries! The entries were judged based on taste & texture, availability of ingredients, appearance, general appeal, general healthfulness and ease of preparation.
Though it was a tough decision, below are the Grand Prize Winner and Runner-Up chosen in each category. Congratulations to all!
