Sweetpotato Salsas At NYC Fancy Food Show
Sweetpotato chips are so good, but SO last year – everybody’s doing it! But sweetpotato dip, now that’s something to write home about. Sweetpotatoes showed off their charm in a new form at this year’s Fancy Food Show – as a salsa! Lisa Johnson, the mastermind behind Yummy Yammy, presented her roasted sweetpotato-based salsas in hopes of standing out above 180,000 products in order to woo buyers and distributors. The Yummy Yammy mission? “To help busy people eat better by delightfully bringing sweetpotatoes to the nation.”
Lisa describes the dips as a salsa sans tomatoes that takes you around the world in a 3-minute span. She originally created the first dip as a way to get her two daughters to eat sweetpotatoes because of their outstanding nutrition profile. Last month, she debuted her Tuscan and Moroccan flavors for a full-flavored lineup. The dips have no fat or sweeteners and have only 250 calories per jar, max!
Check out the flavors below and hopefully with her debut at the Fancy Food Show this means we’ll be seeing these amazing dips at our local specialty food stores very soon!
