Air Fryer Sausage and Sweetpotatoes

Air Fryer Sausage and Sweetpotatoes are a flavor-packed meal perfect for busy weeknights. Sweet sausage, tender sweetpotatoes, and colorful vegetables are tossed with Italian-inspired seasonings and air fried until golden and crisp for an easy, balanced dinner in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sweet sausage* sliced into ¾-inch round pieces
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 medium zucchini diced
  • ½ red bell pepper diced
  • 1 medium sweetpotato diced
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika

Instructions

  • Pre-heat air fryer to 380 degrees F (190 deg. C).
  • Slice sausage into 1/2 inch rounds and add to medium bowl. Dice up vegetables and sweetpotato and place in bowl with sausage. Add olive oil and spices to bowl and mix together until everything is coated.
  • Spread out on air fryer pan, so pieces aren’t overlapping too much.
  • Air fry for 12-14 minutes, flipping halfway for even cooking and flavor.

Notes

*This recipe is based on raw sausage. If using pre-cooked sausages, add them in for the final 4-5 minutes.
Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may have to do a couple batches. You want to make sure everything is in an even layer and the veggies and sausage aren't overlapping.
Make sure to chop the sweetpotatoes, veggies and sausage up evenly so it cooks evenly and distributes the flavor!
